I provide assistance in a range of areas related to digital media and language learning for publishers, universities, language schools and other educational bodies. Recent clients include Imperial College, Epigeum, Young Digital Planet, Poland, and Cornelsen Verlag.
I have extensive experience of strategy development and formulation in the use of digital technologies, and studied the future of the ELT coursebook in my MBA dissertation at Cass Business School. I have a particular interest in the use of scenario planning, which I first used when working with the Demos Think Tank and David Graddol in the development of “The Future of English?” published in 1997. As a former IT Director, I can advise organisations on how they can get better value from their IT infrastructure and systems.
Product development and project management
I am currently working on several publishing projects including mobile learning materials. I can help identify and potential designers, developers, materials writers and editorial staff, drawing on my extensive experience in project management and procurement of ELT related products and services.
I am an experienced trainer and facilitator, and have run ICT teacher training courses and workshops in many countries including the UK, Mexico, Hungary, Qatar, France and Spain. More recently I have delivered training workshops for English UK and Chichester University.
